There were 4,642K boarding in February 2019 compared to 4,665K in February 2018, a decrease of approximately 23K boardings (or less than 1 percent) on local bus service. There was no change in calendar mix and the number of weather days in February 2019 relative to February 2018.
Average Daily Ridership: Weekday / Saturday / Sunday
Average daily ridership decreased on Weekday and increased on Saturday and Sunday. Weekday average daily ridership decreased by approximately 2K boardings (or 1 percent), while Saturday average daily ridership increased by approximately 1K boardings (or less than 1 percent) and Sunday average daily ridership increased by approximately 7K (or 7 percent) in February 2019 compared to February 2018.
Light Rail
Monthly Total
There were 1,499K boardings on all three light rail lines in February 2019 compared to 1,476K boardings in February 2019, an increase of 24K boardings (or 1 percent). Red line ridership increased by less than 1 percent, Green line ridership increased by 10 percent, and Purple line ridership increased by 6 percent in February 2019 compared to February 2018. The primary factor contributing to the increase was two extra rodeo concerts for February 2019 compared to February 2018.

Average Weekday ridership on the Red, Green, and Purple lines decreased by less than 1K boardings (or 1 percent), increased by less than 1K boardings (or 9 percent) and increased by less than 1K boardings (or 8 percent) respectively in February 2019 compared to February 2018. Average Saturday ridership on Red, Green, and Purple lines increased by less than 1K boardings (or 4 percent), increased by less than 1K boardings (or 23 percent), and increased by less than 1K boardings or (or 26 percent) respectively in February 2019 compared to February 2018. Average Sunday ridership on Red, Green, and Purple lines increased by less than 1K (or 2 percent), increased by less than 1K boardings (or 19 percent), and increased by less than 1K boardings (or 19 percent) respectively in February 2019 compared to February 2018 respectively.
