Fannin Station
The enhancements for this station establish an immediate sense of location and orientation for patrons, confirming the public nature of the transit facility and helping to make the station itself a place. The station's walking surface draws on the kinetic forms of the entertainment rides (themselves journeys taken for distraction and escape) as inspiration for colorful, dynamic motifs. Rendered in mosaic tiles on the columns, the color red is used to connect the public metaphor and local influences by symbolizing a unified diversity: many different pieces in a coherent field.
