Downtown Transit Center Station
At the threshold of the downtown area, the station serves as an anchor for transit passengers and pedestrians alike. The station's design concept addresses the influence of transportation, mobility, and connectivity on our society. The canopy exhibits abstract color photos of multi-layered streaking car lights, conveying a sense of motion. The columns are clad with movement-activated lenticular photographic image screens. The pavement features a "graphic equalizer" effect in concrete pavers, peaking activity under the canopy. This station's design elements provide the rail users with an instant to reflect on the changing ways that we connect and interact.
