About METRO curb2curb Hiram Clarke

What is it?

It’s a service that provides personalized, curb to curb transportation in a defined zone within the Hiram Clarke neighborhood, east of Missouri City. We pick you up, and then drop you off at your intended destination. METRO curb2curb shuttles connect you with METRO’s larger transportation network at anchor points within the zone. For instance, your “first mile” of traveling may be on a METRO curb2curb shuttle between your residence and the Hiram Clarke Transit Center, where you transfer to another METRO service. Your “last mile” of traveling may be on a METRO curb2curb shuttle between the Hiram Clarke Transit Center and your residence.

Where is the zone?

The zone covers the Hiram Clarke neighborhood south of Texas 288 and west of the Sam Houston Tollway, as shown in the map below:

When does the METRO curb2curb Hiram Clarke shuttle operate?

Daily, 5 a.m.-7 p.m.

How much does it cost?

Regular fare: $1.25 per ride

Discount fare: 60 cents per ride*

Seniors (70+) and METROLift customers with a valid ID ride for free.


* Discount fares apply to students, seniors (65-69), Medicare cardholders and disabled passengers not currently enrolled in METROLift.

How do I pay to get on board?

Upon boarding, you can pay your curb2curb fare using any of the following:

• METRO Q® Fare Card
• METRO Q Mobile Ticket
• METRO Day Pass
• METRO Money

Where can I purchase or reload a fare card?

You can purchase or reload a METRO Q® Fare Card or METRO Day Pass at:

  • Select vending machines located at METRO rail platforms, Park & Rides, and transit centers
  • Participating retail locations
  • The following METRO RideStore locations:

    Downtown Transit Center (1900 Main St., Houston, Texas 77002) – Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

    Fannin South Transit Center RideStore (1604 West Bellfort (at Fannin Street), Houston, Texas 77054) – Mon-Fri, 6 a.m.-5 p.m.

    Main Street Square (1001 Travis St., Houston, Texas 77002) – Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

    Northwest Transit Center (7373 Old Katy Road, Houston, Texas 77024) – Mon-Fri, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

You can also purchase or reload fare cards through the METRO Online RideStore – however, it may take several days for you to receive them, as all fare cards purchased through the online store are physically mailed.

How do I get on board?

There are two (2) anchor points where you can walk right up and board the METRO curb2curb shuttle at the top of every hour (daily, 5 a.m.-7 p.m.), to travel to your destination anywhere within the zone:

Hiram Clarke Transit Center (3600 West Fuqua St.)

Missouri City Park & Ride (13849 Fondren Road)

What if I want the vehicle to pick me up where I am?

If you can’t get to an anchor point, there are two ways you can book a ride and have the vehicle pick you up at your exact location within the zone:

Does my fare entitle me to free transfers?

Yes. Whether you pay your fare with a fare card or mobile ticket, you’re entitled to free transfers between any of these METRO services for up to three hours in any direction:

• Local bus
• METRORail
• METRORapid
• METRO curb2curb

If your trip includes a Park & Ride bus, and you plan to use a mobile ticket, you'll need to purchase and activate a Park & Ride mobile ticket. It's valid for three hours once activated and entitles you to free transfers between any METRO service of equal or lesser value during that time.
