Museum District Station
The vision for this station is an interactive sculpture. This neighborhood, rich with health and science entities, art, architecture, education, history, and places of worship is dynamic, educational, and inspiring. There is a certain tension implicit in the design of the platform and the design of the canopy. The platform is solid in color and bears a regular, repeated circular imprint, about the size of a standing passenger. Overhead, the translucent canopy bears an exuberant, fluid design. Between the two-order and chaos, science and art-are the passengers, who are an integral part of this performance, whether standing in the human-size circles on the platform or moving through the space.
