Arts in Transit Magnolia Park Transit Center
The design of the Magnolia Park Transit Center Station includes historical and cultural references unique to the area, incorporating the wishes and desires of its surrounding residents. The station artwork revolves around the fact that Houston’s East End area has one of the highest concentrations of bird life in the region, mainly due to its proximity to the ship channel waterway. The artwork also commemorates the shady magnolia trees and the beautiful blossoms that once lined Harrisburg Boulevard all the way into Downtown.
