Arts in Transit Lockwood / Eastwood
The artwork for the Lockwood/Eastwood Station was inspired by the birds that inhabit the inner city, who continue to thrive where concrete and steel coexist with bayous and magnolia groves. The small black bird with orange speckles and blue eggs offers an incredibly captivating visual. This unassuming bird is prevalent in Eastwood, capturing the dynamism and paradox of the birds’ ability to adapt and thrive.
