METROLift Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Senior Citizens' Prom Night

METROLift transported a group of senior citizens to their prom.

Who says prom is just for teenagers?

A group of lively senior citizens recently traded bingo cards for bow ties and ballgowns as they headed to their very own senior prom — with a little help from METROLift.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, METRO stepped in to provide special transportation services for a group of seniors from the New Beginning Church Supernatural in Northeast Houston, ensuring everyone arrived in style for the event held at the Imperial Banquet Hall.

Eight METROLift vehicles helped transport these vibrant guests to the venue, ready to dance the night away.  Several METRO public engagement employees were also in attendance to volunteer at the event.

METRO was proud to be a part of this unforgettable celebration thanks to the recent partnership with the church.

“It is very important for us to attend these types of events because it shows that METRO cares,” said Christine Moreno-Hadi, METRO’s Senior Public Engagement Representative. “We are a part of the community, and to be able to provide services like this helps create fun, everlasting memories.
