METRO Saddles Up for 2024 Rodeo Season

As the countdown to the 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo begins, METRO prepares to move thousands of eventgoers. This year’s Rodeo runs from Feb. 27 – March 17, with the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest taking place Feb. 22–24. Roping a ride on METRO makes attending the festivities stress-free.

For just $1.25, you can hop aboard METRORail or local bus. Three local bus routes – 14 Hiram Clarke, 60 Cambridge, and 84 Buffalo Speedway – stop at or near NRG Park. Find out more information here.

Many visitors wanting to take METRORail can park one stop away from NRG Park at the Fannin South Transit Center for $20 (cash only). Everyone in the car receives a round-trip rail ticket. Parking is also available at the Maxey Road Park & Ride lot. A shuttle provides round-trip transportation to NRG Park for $4 per person.

Rodeo gold and silver badge holders ride free on METRO local bus, METRORail, and METRORapid services. One guest can travel with them for free.

Fares can be paid by Q Mobile Ticketing, METRO Q® Fare Card, METRO Day Pass, vending machine ticket, and cash (bus only). Use METRO’s trip planner or visit our rodeo information page to learn more about transportation options.
