METRO Summer Interns Recognized

Summer interns were honored at the July Board Committee meeting. 

The eight-week program provided 17 college interns with hands-on experience working at METRO. After a new hire orientation and a professional development seminar on building your personal brand, interns had the chance to visit several METRO facilities. 

The program was such a success, the Organizational Development division received a record number of requests from departments to extend the interns' time at METRO for additional weeks.

At the end of the program, interns received a certificate of recognition and were provided a farewell breakfast.

It's That Time of Year!

For METRO non-union employees, open enrollment runs August 18-29, 2025. Most of your current benefit choices will automatically carry over to FY2026.

Don't forget! Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) do not roll over. If you want to enroll in an FSA or make any changes to your benefits, you must take action during open enrollment.

Kids are Going  Back to School

• Obey posted speed limits
• Stop for all school buses (with flashing red lights)
• Wait to proceed, until a bus starts moving and flashing lights stop
• Travel at lower speeds near bus stops
• Be prepared to stop for children running into the street
