METRO Adds Texas School Of Business To U.PASS Roll
August 30, 2005
METRO police made the list of 15 transit agencies across the country that
will get a boost from federal stimulus funds.
The Texas School of Business is the latest campus to join METRO's U.PASS
program, which provides students at member universities, colleges and technical
schools unlimited METRO transportation.
Institutions in the program commit to purchase the unlimited-use passes for
each student enrolled at a cost of $1 per week ($52 per year).
More than 21,000 U.PASSes have been distributed to Houston-area campuses
since the program began in December 2003. Current member institutions include
Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Community College System, Houston Graduate
School of Theology, MTI-Southwest and East campuses, National Institute of
Technology-Bissonnet and Westheimer campuses, Rice University, Texas Barber
College, Texas Southern University, UH-Downtown's Colleges of Public Service and
Science & Technology, University of St. Thomas and University of
Texas-Houston Health Science Center.
