- Receive METRO's $35 monthly incentive (your monthly cost averages $2 - $4 per day after this incentive; some employers reduce your cost even further by offering extra monthly benefits).

And, environmentally speaking, vanpools reduce the number of vehicles on our roadways to alleviate congestion and reduce harmful emissions.Each qualified METROVan rider receives a monthly incentive of $35. And, your employers may offer an additional transportation benefit, reducing your commuting costs even further. In exchange for taking on the driving duties, many van drivers ride for free, with the monthly operating costs divided among the riders. To receive the incentive, ride the van a minimum of 12 times per month. Missed days due to illness, business trips, holidays and vacation time count toward
the 12-ride minimum.
