Media Reminder: Metro’s 402 Quickline Bellaire Hits The Streets

METRO’s one-of-a-kind express service – the 402 Quickline Bellaire – officially hits the streets Monday, June 1, 2009.

The 402 Quickline Bellaire will operate in a dedicated lane marked by blue lines and bunnies – its mascot – from Ranchester to the Texas Medical Center Transit Center.  This top-notch service offers limited stops, modern bus stations equipped with digital “next bus” arrival signs, and hybrid buses fitted with cushioned seats and security cameras.

Riders will enjoy an upgrade in style, speed and safety for the same cost of a local route - $1.25.

The 402 Quickline Bellaire is the first Signature Bus Service the agency will launch under the METRO Solutions plan.  There are four other routes currently in the works.
