Ride METRORail. Enjoy the Convenience…and a Discount

METRO isn’t just a vehicle to get to and from work. It’s also a great ride to events happening around town.

Each year, METRO partners with sports and entertainment organizations to promote riding METRO.

The fun starts with Earth Day, April 22, 2009, at Minute Maid Park, when the Houston Astros take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Patrons who ride METRO to the game can show their METRO fare at the Minute Maid Park Box Office and receive a half-price ticket to the 7:05 p.m. game.

Later in April, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is offering $1 off the ticket price to its Latin Wave Film festival to those with a METRO Rail pass. The festival runs from April 30 to May 3, 2009.  

METRO is also partnering this summer with the Museum of Natural Science and Miller Outdoor Theatre.

Remember, getting to an event shouldn’t be ruined by the commute. Skip the rush to a crowded parking lot and ride METRO.
