METRO PAVES WAY FOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS IN CITY OF HUNTERS CREEK VILLAGE
METRO’s involvement in the community goes far beyond buses, trains and HOVs – its commitment to better mobility even reaches the road you travel on, literally.
The City of Hunters Creek Village recently broke ground on its METRO-funded Creekside Manor paving and drainage project.
METRO Board members Burt Ballanfant joined Hunters Creek Mayor David A. Wegner for the ceremony, Tuesday, August 11 at West Creekside and Memorial Drive.
The work involves reconstructing the paving and drainage along Creekside Drive in the Creekside subdivision. METRO will contribute up to $1.75 million for curb construction, gutter paving and the installation of new storm sewers.
METRO has funded many street projects through its General Mobility Program, which has contributed $1.84 billion to road and infrastructure improvements.
