CONSTRUCTION / OTHER DETOURS
52 Hirsch
On June 30,2009 at 7:00 p.m. Weaver at Lockwood will be closed to all traffic while the contractor prepares to road for a traffic lane switch. During this time please use the following temporary detour. This should be completed on July 1, 2009 at approx. 9:00 a.m., and after that time the N/B buses can return to regular route on the new concrete. S/B buses should remain on the posted detour until the end of construction project.
52 HIRSCH Northbound - Via Weaver Rd., right Lockwood, left E. Crosstimbers, to regular route.
52 HIRSCH Southbound - Via Weaver Rd., continue to E. Crosstimbers, right Lockwood, left Weaver to regular route.
Holcombe Street Closure
ATTENTION: Effective Saturday June 27, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. thru Sunday June 28, 2009 at 7:00 a.m., Holcombe Blvd. between S. Main and Pressler will have a total closure. During this closure please use the following detour.
2 BELLAIRE Eastbound – Via Holcombe, right Pressler, left into T.M.C. Transit Center at entrance 2 and circle around platform 1 to “B” bay to regular route.
Greenspoint Area Detour
ATTENTION: Effective June 24, 2009 due to construction at the intersection of Greens and Greenspoint, please use the following detour.
56 Airline Southbound (Crown Park Branch) – Via Greens Rd., Right Northchase, left Benmar to regular route.
86 F.M. 1960 Crosstown Eastbound – Via Greens Rd., Right Northchase, Left Benmar, Right Ronan, Right Beltway 8 Westbound service road, U-Turn at Greenspoint Dr. to Beltway 8 Eastboundservice rd. (layover at 1st stop on the shoulder) continue service rd., U-Turn at Imperial Valley, Right Greenspoint to regular route.
Bertner Ave. Closure
Bertner Ave. will be closed between Bates and Moursund St. beginning Friday June 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. until Sunday June 28, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. During this closure please use the following route.
26 Outer Loop – Via Bertner, right Bates, left M.D. Anderson, right Moursund to reg. rte.
27 Inner Loop – Via Moursund, left M.D. Anderson, right Bates, left Bertner to reg. rte.
68 Brays Bayou Westbound – Via Moursund, left M.D. Anderson, right Bates, left Bertner to reg. rte.
68 Brays Bayou Eastbound – Via Bertner, right Bates, left M.D. Anderson, right Moursund to reg. rte.
292 W. Bellfort / TMC – Via Bertner, right Bates, left M.D. Anderson, right Moursund to reg. rte.
320 TMC White – Via Bertner, right Bates, left M.D. Anderson, right Moursund to reg. rte.
As with all detoured routes, look for patrons that want to board the bus along the detour portion of the route. Also, while bus is on detour, please follow your standard operating procedure and make announcements as required by the A.D.A.
Main St. Closure
Northbound Main St. will be closed between University Blvd. and N. Mac Gregor St. beginning Friday June 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. until Monday June 29, 2009 at 5:00 a.m. During this closure please use the following route.
8 S. Main Northbound – Via Main, right University, left Fannin, left N. Mac Gregor, right Main to regular route. As with all detoured routes, look for patrons that want to board the bus along the detour portion of the route
26 Outer Loop & 27 Inner Loop
Old Spanish Trail / US 90 ALT. will be closed between Wayside and Spur 5 beginning Monday April 20, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. and will be closed for 4 months until August 16, 2009. Please utilize the following detour during this construction.
26 OUTER LOOP – Via Old Spanish Trail, left Spur 5, right S. Lockwood, right I 45 Southbound service rd., continue service rd., left Wayside to regular route.
27 INNER LOOP – Via Wayside, right I-45 Northbound service rd., left S. Lockwood, left Spur 5, right Old Spanish Trail to regular route.
Temporary Detours
77 Liberty Homestead Northbound – Via Homestead, right 610 service rd. eastbound, U-turn at the railroad tracks to 610 service rd. westbound, right Homestead to regular route.
77 Liberty Homestead Southbound – Via Homestead, right 610 westbound service rd. to Kelley, U-turn at L.B.J. crossover to Kelley eastbound, right to 610 westbound service rd., U-turn at Lockwood to 610 eastbound service rd., right Homestead to regular route.
77 Homestead – Via Freeway continue 610 service rd. eastbound, U-turn at railroad tracks to 610 westbound service rd., right Homestead to regular route.
1 Hospital Detour
Due to construction planned for 610 North Loop, the 1 Hospital Northbound route will not be able to access the Wayside stop because of exit and entrance ramp closure. Be advised that the Southbound ramp is accessible. This will be in effect until further notice.
Bus Stop Closure for 50 Harrisburg, Effective Monday, February 16, 2009
Construction on the East End Corridor light-rail line is underway! METRO stop at Harrisburg and Everton on the westbound 50 Harrisburg will be closed until further notice. Please use the Harrisburg and York stop just two blocks west. The service will continue from Harrisburg and York westbound uninterrupted. Trip times may be affected by minor delays.
