EVENT DETOURS
6th Annual 5K Fun/Run Fundraiser
On Saturday, May 18, 2013, there will be a 5K Fun/Run beginning at 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. the following routes will be affected:
6 Tanglewood W/B - Via Bagby, left Franklin, to Washington, left Studemont, right Memorial to regular route.
50 Heights Hollister W/B – Via Capitol, stay on Memorial Service Rd., to Memorial Way, right Hemphill, left Lubbock, right Sawyer to regular route.
Impact a Hero 5K
On Saturday, May 18, 2013, there will be a 5K Run/Walk beginning at 4:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.The following routes will be affected:
14 Hiram Clarke N/B – Via S. Main, right O.S.T., to regular route.
18 Kirby N/B – Via Westridge, right South Main, right O.S.T., left Kirby to regular route.
18 Kirby S/B – Via Kirby, stay on Kirby to regular route.
CONSTRUCTION / OTHER DETOURS
9 North Main/Gulfton
Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. North Main will be closed between 34th street and Crosstimbers due to construction. During this closure please use the following detour:
9 North Main N/B - Via Main, left 34th, right Yale, left on Crosstimbers to regular northbound route.
9 Gulfton S/B - Via Crosstimbers, right Yale, left 34th, right on Main to regular southbound route.
8 S. MAIN
Due to Medical Center Crane Work, S. Main N/B will be closed at Holcombe Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 5:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. During this closure, please utilize the following detour.
5 SOUTHMORE & 73 BELLFORT - REVISED
The railroad crossing on Bellfort at Mykawa is scheduled to be closed for construction Saturday May 18, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. During this closure, please utilize the following detour.
5 Southmore Bellfort S/B - Via Bellfort, left Mykawa, right Dixie, right Northdale, left Bellfort to regular route.
5 Southmore Bellfort N/B - Via Bellfort, right Northdale, left Dixie, left Mykawa, right Bellfort to regular route.
73 Bellfort E/B - Via Bellfort, left Mykawa, right Dixie, right Northdale, left Bellfort to regular route.
73 Bellfort W/B - Via Bellfort, right Northdale, left Dixie, left Mykawa, right Bellfort to regular route.
66 YALE
Effective May 20, 2013, Yale will be closed between Tidwell and Parker due to construction. The scheduled duration of the closure is four (4) months. During this closure, please utilize the following detour.
66 YALE N/B – Via Yale, left Tidwell, right Stuebner Airline, left Parker to regular route.
66 YALE S/B – Via Parker, right Stuebner Airline, left Tidwell, right Yale to regular route.
26 OUTER LOOP & 27 INNER LOOP
Due to U.P.R.R. Construction, the rail crossing between Cavalcade and Jensen will be closed beginning Monday, April 29, 2013 and will remain closed until approx. June 17, 2013. During this closure, please utilize the following route.
26 OUTER LOOP – Via Cavalcade, right Jensen, left Kelley, left Hardy, right Cavalcade to regular route.
27 INNER LOOP – Via Cavalcade, left Elysian, right Kelley, right Jensen, left Cavalcade to regular route.
TRAFFIC SWITCH
Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the beginning of service, a traffic switch will occur at Wood and Vine. Please utilize the following routing at that time. Northbound Buses Will No Longer Turn right At Vine St.
N/B Buses – Via Wood, right N. Main to regular route.
The S/B routing will remain the same and both of these routing will be permanent until further notice.
66 YALE
Beginning January 16, 2013, Yale between Parker and Ishmeal will be closed to southbound traffic due to construction. This closure is scheduled to be in place approx. 5 to 6 months. During this closure, please utilize the following detour.
66 YALE S/B – Via Parker, right Stuebner Airline, left Tidwell, right Yale to regular route.
WAYSIDE AT GRIGGS HAZARD
Outbound from Polk – Via Wayside, left Griggs, right Telephone to Loop 610 to regular route.
Inbound to Polk – Use Telephone Rd., right Wayside to regular route.
N. MAIN AT HOGAN / BROOKS
Please continue to utilize the Southbound detour for the METRORail Construction on N. Main between Hogan St. and Brooks St. We still are on detour at this location and need to service the bus stops on Freeman St. and Brooks St.
New Routing Thru Parking Lot For METRORail Construction
NOTE: Both S/B and N/B buses will travel on the opposite side of the parking lot that they currently travel.
NOTE: The S/B buses will travel the opposite direction on Providence, right Vine, left Rothwell, right San Jacinto to regular route.
NOTE: The N/B buses will travel the same direction that they currently operate.
NOTE: Use caution throughout the construction zone and be aware that buses will travel in both directions on Providence St. and Vine St.
