Details: As part of METRO’s reorganization last year, the new
department of Performance Improvement was developed with a focus on process
transformation. A briefing is provided to update the Board Committee on the
progress of its Lean process transformation initiative.
9:10 – 9:15 a.m. 3. Operation Thank you to our Customers – A METRO Ambassadors Initiative
Purpose: Briefing Person(s) Responsible: K. Marshall
Details: Companywide thank you initiative to customers tied to Valentine’s Day. All employees will be issued “We love our patrons” buttons. All staff will be asked to wear them and to interact with patrons. Volunteers will staff transit centers, P & R and Rail platforms between 5 AM and 7 AM to thank customers and giving them small Valentine’s Day cards with our Operating Principles.

Request Board authorization for the President & CEO to negotiate, execute and deliver a modification to the Lean Consulting contract with Criterion LLC, increasing the amount by $56,320 to a not-to-exceed amount of $156,300, for the continuation of service to complete ongoing Lean projects

Details: This proposed modification to the Criterion Lean consulting contract will ensure continuity and completion of ongoing Lean projects within METRO, as well as on-the-job Lean training for staff.

Pursuant to TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE §§551.071, 551.072, 551.074, and 551.076, the Board will consult with its attorneys on pending or potential litigation, legal matters in which the attorneys’ duties are governed by the State Bar of Texas (Code of Conduct); and will deliberate, in accordance with the above statutes, real estate matters, personnel matters, security matters and devices, and any legal issues regarding contract negotiations that may result in potential litigation.
